Studio Bauen is an Architecture and Landscape Studio committed to earth first design. We believe that as all materials come from the earth at some point, the design of our buildings and landscapes should reflect and respect the earth. In essence, designing with the earth to form a symbiotic relationship.
About
Studio Bauen was founded in 2025 by Hanz Greyerbiehl. After studies in architecture and landscape at the undergraduate and graduate level and several years in the industry, Hanz made the move to start a studio founded in a core philosophy of earth wise building.

Full front landscape design and installation in the Blue Ridge neighborhood. The pour in place concrete fire pit terrace with a view made this project. A room with a view.
An outdoor living space in the View Ridge neighborhood.
Terraced planes form a cozy hot tub space with dining space adjacent. A backyard refuge in the View Ridge neighborhood.
The Bluestone standup with a pour in place concrete fire circle make for a great evening getaway in Leschi.

On The Boards
As an experimental studio, we are always looking to expand the horizons of design. We are currently working on a residence in the Thorton Creek Watershed area. Bringing in the native landscape to embrace the residence. Stay tuned for more.
